Fruit infestation rates were reduced in both mandarins and oranges. Furthermore, the systematic monitoring of ground diversity of arthropods, of pesticide residues and soil analysis, has revealed that the application of mass trapping technique with the attractant BIODELEAR as a part of a strategy for the management of Med fly population can be considered as an alternative control of the insect, resulting in the sustainable production of fruits.
